I am keeping my blog going through the Summer and I would love to respond to your requests. So? What kind of resources do you need for your SMART Board interactive whiteboard? Do you need a great ELL site? Do you need Middle School Algebra resources that are easy to use with the Smartboard? Do you need version 10 training?
Let me know and I'll do my very best to respond to each request.
By the way, thank you to everyone who responded about wanting to learn how to create an educational blog this Summer. I will be getting back to everyone with more information very soon!
Sharing is Caring!

Thanks for keeping the blog going over the summer. You’ve given me lots of resources and ideas to use with my staff. I appreciate all of your time and effort with it. Keep it up! We’re valuing all you do out here in the blogosphere!
Hello. I found your blog and it has helped me tremendously.
I am a teacher of at-risk youth (grades 7-12)in a alternative education setting in California. All of our kids have truancy issues, some also are involved in the juvenile justice system and/or foster care system. We have an extremely high rate of transiency in our population. Most of our students are behind in credits and at least one year behind grade level in reading and math.
I teach math and science and just got a SMART board at the end of this year.
I am looking for algebra, life science, and physical science websites and lessons that are SMART board friendly. I would like to stay away from sites that are geared toward “little kids” because my students are sensitive about their academic abilities.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
The things I really want to develop on my IBW are related to reading in the content area…especially how to teach students to find answers to questions within the text and then write a good explanation to the question.
I would love to work on developing graphic organizers for things like describing, identifying, explaining et al…and then constructing a means to put those ideas together into a small written paragraph.
I would also love to do something similar to that for cause/effect, compare/contrast and sequence. Can’t you imagine having all the key words that this kind of writing should have and then drag them into bits of student writing…you know the things that would really improve the quality.
I’ll be anxious to see if there is anything that can be done or developed. Thanks for your message.

James,
I just trained a group of teachers in my district on SB version 10 and of course everyone loves it. I also give them a link to your blog as the best place to visit for educational resources. Thanks for keeping this going.
I would like to get middle school algebra resources.
I would love math resources for middle school. I teach sixth grade math and really appreciate all the ideas on your blog.
I have JUST had notification that I will have SMARTboard in my first grade classroom in September!!! I can’t wait but does anyone have lessons linked to Harcourt Trophies that I could use??? MANY THANKS!
Shelly
My school is getting smartboards this fall. I’m afraid. Is this easy to use?
Thanks for all the helpful options this site provides.
I wonder if you or others have a comment on what I see to be a major feature lacking from Smartboard Notebook. This is the ability to select a group of objects on the screen and automatically align them (left/right/centre) or space them equally. Graphics programmes have offered this feature for many years, and a rival to Notebook – EasiTeach- does just this.
The result of not having these features is that boards with multiple objects never look as tidy as they might otherwise do, unless one puts in a lot of extra work.
I’ve suggested this feature to Smartboard twice, once well before version 10 and once after (they do ask for suggestions) and have not received a reply.
I’m writing this because I’m hoping that, if others would like this feature, our combined comments could make them see it as a priority for an upcoming version.
