I normally do not recommend websites where users have to register to access the content since this is often against a school's UAP. However, the website Literactive offers so many outstanding interactive resources for the SMART Board that it's hard not to give this website a huge "shout out."
Literactive has hundreds a quality interactive activities to help children learn to read. The activities are extremely engaging and the graphic and sound quality are top notch! The site includes guided reading activities, interactive poetry, and interactive traditional tales. The site also has an ESL section that's simply outstanding.
Registration for this site took only a few seconds and my login information was sent to me immediately. The site claims that you are allowed to download the flash activities to your computer. However, the activities are configured to run from their site and downloading the activities is not a straight-forward process.
Please share this resource with your primary grade teachers. It's simply an amazing resource of free activities that work great on your SMART Board interactive whiteboard. Note: I noticed the Level 7 activities are not active. All other activities seem to work okay.
