In all my workshops, I find that I never miss an opportunity to recommend the WatchKnow website for finding educational videos for the classroom. This is also a great place to locate videos that you may want to download and incorporate into a Notebook lesson file.
This site is maintained by the users and organized in a way that can really help teachers find relevant videos for the classroom. I also like the rating system that is used to help teachers make a educated decision on what videos to review.
You'll want to start searching through the site right away once you see it so please go there right now and take a look. When you're done, make sure you look at all the things you can do with WatchKnow by watching their introductory video.
Here is the video if you want more information now:

Please don't forget to share this incredible resource with the teachers at your school.
Sharing Is Caring!

Thank you. I read about this last night and I have already used one of the videos in my class today. It was so exciting to actually be able to open a video that wasn’t Brainpop or UNited Streaming!:) I have already posted it on the 5th grade Wiki and will share it at a tech workshop I will be conducting in later on in theyear.
YouTube is blocked in my district. I can’t use it!
Hi Diana,
If you can’t view the videos at school, you can view them at home, select the videos that you want, and use a site like Keepvid.com to download the video to your computer in flv format. You can then insert them into the Notebook software for viewing. Be careful to avoid the advertisements on Keepvid. You don’t need to download any programs to use it, just paste in the web address of the youtube video in the blue area at the top. It may ask you to verify the content in a pop up window. That’s okay to do. Avoid the Play and Download Now buttons. Just click on one of the “>>download flv<<” links when they appear.
Good luck!
Jim
