The SMART Board interactive whiteboard is such a perfect tool for displaying and interacting with all the digital media that is quickly being introduced on the Internet. The tools that are used to create engaging interactive simulations are becoming easier to use; as a result, more and more companies and individuals are creating interactive simulation models to help improve learning.
A company called ForgeFX has a wide-range of example 3D simulations for education that were developed for Pearson/Prentiss Hall. My favorite is the 3D Plant and Animal Cell simulation - what an outstanding way to learn about cell structure!
