The newest Get SMART with SMART Boards podcast is now available. In this edition of the popular audio podcast, Harvey Almarode and I revisit the topic of random selection. Harvey shares a Notebook file that demonstrates how he adds a little bit more engagement when generating random numbers by using the Random Image Tool from the Lesson Activity Toolkit.
In the latest Get SMART with SMART Boards Podcast, Harvey and I explore and discuss the newest version of the Smart Notebook software, version 10.6.
As always, we also share some fun Notebook files. Harvey shares his Twelve Brats of Christmas Notebook application that challenges students to match up the right Christmas gift with each of the 12 brats. As for me, I thought it would be fun to point people to the Christmas Holiday resource page where I have lots of custom word search riddles to use on the SMART Board.
I thought I would provide listeners with a brief overview of the new Smart Exchange that has just been released in beta by Smart Technologies. The new Smart Exchange allows teachers to find and share resources for the SMART Board quickly and easily. I also share a fun Notebook file based on the game of Tic-Tac-Toe. Teachers can customize the game and can even save their customized games to the Gallery.
In this podcast, we each share one of our favorite websites for the SMART Board. Harvey begins his “magic” theme by discussing the site The Magic Gopher and I talk about one of my favorite websites that displays a life size blue whale floating by you as you watch in amazement. It’s a great site to watch and interact with on your SMART Board.
I’m excited to announce a new podcast called Get SMART with SMART Boards. SMART Board expert Harvey Almarode and I join forces to help teachers use the SMART Board more effectively in the classroom.
