For today’s Sharing Is Caring submission, I selected an incredible website create by Lauri Fried-Lee from the City College of San Francisco.
Her website, called Lauri’s ESL Website, contains a wealth of ESL resources which can be used in almost any classroom setting. I was especially impressed with the Listening Activities section of her website. You’ll find lots and lots of interactive activities that work great on the SMART Board.
I didn’t really say too much about this site on that initial blog post…I didn’t need to. It doesn’t take long to realize what an amazing resource this is for the SMART Board classroom. The site contains over 100 courses covering Math, Science, Computer Skills, Language Arts, and English.
I am so excited to about this post. I have found a great application called Grammar Ninja that really works great with the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. This would be a great game to introduce to your students because it was developed by Greg Lieberman who developed the game as part of High School Independent Study Program in Videogame Design.
I found a pretty good site from Red River College in Winnipeg Canada called Online Writing Resources that contains a wealth of great PowerPoint and Microsoft Word downloads as well as interactive exercises that work well with the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. In addition, it contains a lot of great links to other writing resources.
